MXQ is an extremely reliable manufacturer of liquid ring vacuum pumps, which are the positive-displacement pumps used in several critical process industries. MXQ vacuum pumps are available in capacities up to 17,000 CFM, which helps ensure optimum efficiency in various processes. We also provide Voith design liquid ring pumps, which are designed for capacities higher than 17,000 CFM. Our vacuum pumps are dimensionally and functionally equivalent to NASH 904 Series, NASH CL Series, and NASH SC Series vacuum pumps. The pump components are available in different materials of construction such as ductile iron, cast iron, 316 and 304 stainless steel, bronze, and aluminum bronze. These various materials enable businesses to meet the requirements of the process environments.
MXQ liquid ring vacuum pumps feature robust construction, and are easy to maintain due to few moving parts, and simple designs.
How a Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Works?
As the name suggests, these pumps use water or any other liquid for its operation. Similar to other standard pumps in the market, these pumps feature a bladed impeller, which is attached to the center hub. However, the only difference is these impellers are positioned off-set to the center hub.
In regular centrifugal pumps, the fluid at the pump’s suction port will have a low pressure value. However, the pressure increases when it passes through the various impeller stages. Finally, at the discharge port the pressure becomes higher. However, in the case of liquid ring vacuum pumps, air is pulled out of the low pressure vessels, such that the vessel pressure goes below the value of atmospheric pressure. This leads to the creation of vacuum conditions.
The blades located on the top of the pump remain closer to the outer wall than those at the bottom and side of the pump. Owing to this relative eccentricity, a compression is produced by the pump. This eccentricity also leads to the partial filling and emptying of the rotor chamber in the state of revolution. This partial emptying and filling triggers the piston action within each set of the impeller blades or rotor. The parts of the pump are designed such that they allow the gas to enter during the emptying of the liquid in the rotor chamber, and discharge it when the compression is completed.
MXQ’s liquid ring vacuum pumps provide sustainable productivity in harsh environments in the following industries:
